This exciting exchange program is for students with an interest in ethics and human rights who wish to further their study in another part of the world. It is designed to give access to a range of interesting topics developed and presented by leading experts from universities that specialise in ethics, human rights and the institutions for implementing them. It aims to prepare students for the many careers all over the world that involve and now require expertise in such issues as global justice and professional ethics.

Financial assistance will be provided to 40 Australian students to undertake a portion of their degrees on exchange in Europe and 40 European students to undertake a portion of their degrees on exchange in Australia. Exchanges are open to students studying philosophy, including political theory, normally going into their third or fourth year. Unfunded places are also available.

It is the challenge of global ethics that prompted eight universities (four in Australia and four in the European Union) to make application to the Australian Department of Education, Science and Technology and the European Union for funding under the 4th round of the EU/Australia Cooperation in Higher Education and Vocational Training program.

The program establishes a collaboration between the eight different universities to offer a first rate integrated network of eight undergraduate degrees in ethics, human rights and institutions. It promotes cooperation and exchanges between the universities thereby fostering teaching and research in those institutions in the area of ethics, human rights and institutions.

Each university has a designated Institutional Cooordinator who will be able to advise you about your exchange and an experienced International Office that will assist you with the application and other administrative requirements.
