Charles Sturt University (CSU) is rapidly making its mark on higher education as a dynamic and responsive university of national and international standing.

CSU is Australia’s largest non-metropolitan university and is recognised as Australia’s leader in the provision of distance education. The University transcends national and international borders to offer more than 500 courses to around 35,000 students throughout the world via on-campus, study centres, distance education or course provider study options.
With a heritage of over 100 years of providing vocational higher education, CSU has evolved into a multi-campus institution, with regional campuses in the cities of Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange and Wagga Wagga and CSU study centres in the cities of Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

In 2005, Charles Sturt University had around 35,000 students
- 8,792 students attended the main campuses
- 17,933 studied by distance education
- 5,430 studied in partnership arrangements (both in Australia and overseas)

 








Support Services and Facilities

CSU prides itself on providing support to its students.

Each campus and study centre at CSU has a specially designated International Student Adviser to provide support to international students during their study time at the University.

At CSU’s regional campuses Student Support Services provides a range of services to students, and most are free of charge. Some of the support services include: careers advice; Student Services Help Desk; counselling; chaplaincy and religious counselling; and Islamic study and prayer facility at Wagga Wagga campus, disability services; tuition in learning skills, maths skills and online learning skills; on and off-campus accommodation; student equity advice; mentoring schemes; English language support.

CSU regional campus services and facilities: student clubs and associations (sporting, recreational and social); computer labs with Internet access, sporting
facilities including gyms, playing fields, golf course, swimming pool,
post office, banking facilities, cafes, canteens, dining rooms and
international mini-supermarkets, libraries and bookshops, medical centres,
bus services, child care centres and 24-hour security services.

Accommodation

For you to study well and enjoy your time at university, you need to live somewhere that is comfortable, convenient and affordable. At our regional campuses a range of accommodation options are offered to suit your lifestyle and budget.

Few universities in Australia can match the range of on-campus accommodation available at the Charles Sturt University Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange and Wagga Wagga campuses. CSU will guarantee on-campus accommodation to all international students studying in at least their first year at either the Bathurst or Wagga Wagga campuses. Assistance is also available in helping our students secure off-campus accommodation at any of our campuses.
