Scholarship Conditions
Successful applicants will receive a scholarship which comprises a generous stipend for the duration of their visit. This will be a total of approximately A$7,600 for Australian students, approximately €5,200 for European students and for UK students approximately £3,500. The stipend will be paid to each student by their home university in accordance with the normal procedures of that university.
Successful completion of your study at the host university will result in those studies being granted as credit towards your degree at your home university in accordance the ECTS weightings.
No Tuition Fees at Host University
Tuition fees at the host university will be waived. However, some universities may have a student services fee that you will have to pay. This can be checked on the relevant university websites accessible from their Courses page on this website.
All of our partner universities provide assistance in acquiring accommodation. Some guarantee accommodation or will give preference to Network Scholarship holders. Please check the Application Information for Exchange Students information accessible from each university’s Courses page on this website. You can also contact the appropriate persons at each university for information, advice and assistance. These contacts are listed on our Staff page.
Scholarship Selection Criteria
* Amount and level of philosophy and/or political theory experience
* Academic record
* Assessment of "Statement of Purpose"
* Recommendations from Philosophy/Politics Department
* Potential to benefit from an exchange
* Approval from home university to proceed on an exchange
* Acceptance by host university/universities
Scholarship holders must:
* Undertake full time study at the Host institution for the duration of the exchange visit
* Abide by the policies, rules, regulations and procedures of the Host university and country
* Pay normal fees to their home university during the period of the exchange visit
* Pay any non-tuition fees imposed by the host university
* Pay for all personal expenses, non-tuition fees, transportation, accommodation, meals and books including any side-visits required to other institutions. (The award of a Network Scholarship does not bring sufficient funds to cover all these expenses).
* Provide proof of health insurance coverage at the Host university. (In the case of Australia this means the purchase of the Australian Government’s Compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover before applying for their student visa)
* Obtain a visa and other relevant documents required to study at the Host university
